Wil loves to read. Books transport the forty-year-old beyond his spartan life, introduce him to new people, and take him to exciting new worlds. He longs to find his next page-turning adventure. However, he soon discovers that his reading impulses lead him on a disturbing journey that tests his sense of right and wrong—a journey so far from himself that he may lose all he holds dear unless he can find his way back.
'The Reading Pastor,' or so he is dubbed by his congregation, finds solace in flea market hopping allowing him to escape a world tugging on him like strings hanging from buoyant balloons.
