Pine, Alive: A Pinocchio Retelling (Foxwept Array, #1)

Pine never wanted to be a real girl.

Too bad she doesn't have a choice.

Delivered to the home of her new "father," Joseph, sentient android Pine must find a way to fit into a human world.

It's not going to be easy. Especially not since James, her father's handsome assistant, can't seem to stand the sight of her.

Eventually, the pair reach an uneasy truce—and more. But when Joseph is swallowed by the ocean during a mysterious storm, they're forced to confront some painful truths in order to save him—and each other.
