A Memorable Christmas Gift (Wedding the African Way, #1)

A Memorable Christmas Gift: Wedding the African Way follows the journey of Julie Sermon and Nick Waterston, an American couple who travel to Kenya to marry in a traditional Maasai ceremony that profoundly changes their understanding of love, culture, and family. Defying their families' expectations, Julie and Nick opt for a Maasai wedding to honor the traditions that captivated them years before. Their families, initially hesitant, arrange a grand surprise by involving local Maasai leaders and officials, culminating in a heartfelt cross-cultural celebration. When Julie and Nick embraces the Maasai tradition, they are bestowed with Maasai names; Nolooraami and Ole Serun, which symbolizes their deep connection to the land and people.
