Marriage for Aghavni

On November 14, 1914, in Constantinople (formally known as Istanbul), capital of the Ottoman Empire, the religious leader Sleikh-ul-Islam declared jihad on behalf of the Ottoman government, urging Muslims all over the world—to take up arms against Christian countries. This was at the beginning of WWI when Germany and other Christian countries had declared war against them. This book is about a young orphaned girl who must travel with a family and flee the Armenian Holocaust and try to get to America. To do so she must marry at the age of nine, a boy who is 18.
