I distribute 5 threepenny bits to Father, Mother, Katharine, Ruth and Fritz, and keep one myself. Donald Croker produces a Half Franc which Father splits in twain, and Donald keeps one piece while I have the other.
In the morning I had said good-bye to Midas and to Aunt Emily, etc.
