Reason and Human Government

This is a work of political philosophy. It discusses whether government is necessary, the meaning and importance of individual rights, the legitimate affirmative powers of government, and the best form of government. It concludes with a case study of political leadership in the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. This is the final volume of the author's philosophical trilogy on free will (Free Will and Human Life), ethics (Reason and Human Ethics), and political philosophy (Reason and Human Government). Although each book can be read separately, they also form three interrelated parts of an overall work that could be titled Philosophy and Human Life.
