Patient for Pumpkins

The story of a child and father visiting the farmer's market throughout the summer, waiting for the pumpkins to ripen. Each month they find new fruits and vegetables available from the farm. Finally, in October, the pumpkins arrive and excitement ensues over choosing the perfect pumpkin for holiday fun. A sidebar throughout the book shows the stages of the pumpkins growth on the farm, from seedling to blossoms to ripe and ready for market.
