Mind Made Real: The Mechanics Of Conscious Thought

Mind Made Real presents a synthesis of physical and mental reality that melds the conflicting views held by the physical sciences, various religions, and philosophy. Written primarily for the technically oriented individual with an interest in biological intelligent systems, cognitive science, or artificial intelligence, Mind Made Real uses a system level approach to the biomechanics of the human mind to unravel many puzzling questions about the experience of consciousness, the nature of reality, machine intelligence, free will, and the operation of human and animal minds. Olshove suggests that the confusion about intelligence and consciousness originates in misunderstanding both the nature of intelligence and the nature of ordinary matter. He presents a new and cohesive philosophical view of the fabric underlying our physical sciences and places mind in its proper position within that reality.
