Ag Scríobh Ar Uisce: Writing on Water

The book reminisces on the authors life as a civil servant and a family man, and provides vignettes of a changing Ireland from the 1930s to the present day. As he has voyaged through life, the author has become more and more convinced that the most significant badge of Irish identity is Gaeilge. His ardent desire to preserve and promote the ancient language of his country is a unifying theme throughout the book.
