Edge of Forever: The Death and Life of Analey

On the eve of her 18th birthday, Analey Rose becomes plagued with recurring nightmares of a young woman she's never met, being brutally attacked by an evil predator. She dismisses them as nothing more than bad dreams.
Weeks after her birthday, Analey Rose prepares to leave Havencrest Orphanage, the only home she has ever known. She must leave behind her close friends and the familiar yet lonely life of an orphan.
She decides to move to Shadowmist, a small eclectic town about two hours from the orphanage, in hopes of starting a new life for herself. In Shadowmist, she meets Kami, Kian, and Candice and instantly they become friends. Analey feels comfortable and at home with her new friends, but soon a tragic event separates one of them from the circle of friendship. Analey is devastated, but she is distracted by the red-eyed demons her friend, Heath, has warned her about and the overwhelming presence of someone watching her.
Heath Gibbs lived at Havencrest Orphanage from the time he was born until the time he was adopted by a young couple, whom he accused of being monsters. He tried destroying them by setting their house on fire but didn't succeed. Now he is convinced he was created to hunt and kill the red-eye demons who appear to be human but only he can see the ghastly features that prove them to be something else.
Along with the nightmares, Analey begins to be tormented with visions of death and sadness but when she begins to dream about a beautiful stranger, the nightmares and visions seem to disappear. She becomes obsessed with the man from her dreams and is shocked to see him in Shadowmist.
When Analey meets Mikel Aragon, the man of her dreams, she is certain he is aware of his presence in her dreams, yet he vehemently denies it. Shortly after meeting Mikel, Analey learns she has an aunt who has been searching for her. She meets Stella Meyers and decides to accept her aunt's offer to move in with her. Analey is sure both Stella and Mikel are keeping secrets from her and she is determined to find out what they are, but she isn't prepared for the truth she will learn.
Mikel can't keep the truth from Analey any longer, but when he tells her about his family and their past, she runs away terrified of him. She runs away from one frightening creature into the arms of another yet deadlier being.
