Visionary/Spiritual Fiction. On the southern Sumarkh Plateau at the Sun-Rynnar Clan a few days after the summer solstice, while the returned Vondarii members try to resume their life after having experienced the expansive and difficult events at their sacred gathering, Morgana and Drek'h begin to share their higher knowledge of the Forbidden with the visiting Mirii party from Zerren's Gate Hold; Chaz, Turrin, Orennah, and Bereen, plus the Lasah Hawk Hold member, Corry Anatt, including what they learned about the Mirii Covenant from the nine Guardians of the Eye of the Lady. Hunter Madeh learns about the fracturing of his clan, the Storm-Rynnok'h, from Sarduk'h, his former hunt leader, then is finally able to meet with his younger sister Omari, who is still struggling with the terrible memory of her attackers, returned to her awareness because of Sahl's coming to the Vondarii solstice gather as the Speaker for the Shadow Lii. Meanwhile, Sahl seeks to find his new purpose in the clan separate from the Lii, but is reluctant to interact with the returned members because of the suffering he believes he caused all the clans present at the solstice gather, but is especially concerned about Omari because of their traumatic past events connected to the same group of Fathers and their Seekers. Then, days later, feeling their Aza skills are needed elsewhere, Corry Anatt and Chaz return to the southern hills overlooking the gather camp area beside the Lady's lake where three clans are still camped, the two Aza putting their talents to use on observing the Seekers who remain, but after Chaz is requested to meet with one of the clan's elders in their camp near the lake, Corry suffers a tragic loss.
