Poems of a Lost Childhood is an exploration of growing up in a small conservative town in South Africa during Apartheid.

My family was quirky and had rules for everything, mostly steeped in religion, but also superstition.

I have written tiny vignettes of stories that impacted me in my childhood and also explored how they shaped my values in adulthood.

I hope they spark reflections of your own beginnings, what shaped you and how you may still choose to grow, no matter what age you are when this book lands in your hands.
