Faith With A Restless Heartbeat

Faith With a Restless Heartbeat is an invitation to move beyond a faith that exists only on paper-mere intellectual agreement or religious performance-into a living, embodied trust in Jesus Christ. Born from the author's own experience of physical heart failure and spiritual searching, the book centers on the Great Commandment (love of God and love of neighbor) as the essential rhythm for everyday discipleship. Drawing on Scripture (especially the letters of Paul and James), real-life stories from congregations and neighborhoods, and a candid look at barriers like fear, shame, and exhaustion, Gryniewicz offers a practical path forward. He explores what it means to let faith become visible at home, next door, online, and in community, focusing on small, concrete acts of kindness, listening, forgiveness, and justice. The book challenges "checkbook Christianity" and institutional inertia while calling ordinary believers to a gentle, persistent practice of love that reveals God's grace already at work in the world.
