Le Maltre

How do contemporary psychoanalysis' new resources (notably those arising out of group psychoanalysis) make it possible to understand current forms of mental suffering? Which pathological disorders that impede the ability to love, think, play, or work does the group approach to the psyche make it possible to treat? This is the common thread of this new book by René Kaës who takes great pains to provide the reader with the valid tools to identify the root of discontent today: the culture of defiance. Almost a century after Sigmund Freud's Civilisation and Its Discontents, this new work is a sharp examination of the real roots of modern discontent.
